I’m Munish Jhaveri, and I founded The Urban Jungle in 2024 out of a deep-rooted love for plants—and a desire to bring more of nature into the lives of people living in Mumbai.
As a child, I spent hours caring for the plants in our family home. Though that passion faded over time, my love for greenery never really left me. After completing my post-graduation in Marketing and working with companies like Fork Media, Welspun India, Thomas Cook, and Fast&Up, I took a step back to reassess what truly drives me.
That’s when I came across a startling statistic, Mumbai has just 1.24 sq. m of green space per person— one of the lowest in the world. How do other mega cities compare –
London: 31.68 sq. m per person.
New York: 26.4 sq. m per person.
Hong Kong: 4 sq. m per person.

This disconnect from nature isn’t just visible—it’s deeply felt. And I believe the only way to change it is to bring nature back into our everyday spaces: our homes, our offices, and our stores.
That belief led to the birth of The Urban Jungle—a design studio that transforms compact urban interiors through the power of plants. Using landscape design principles and biophilic design, I help clients green their spaces in a way that feels effortless, intuitive, and deeply personal.

You don’t need to worry - we’ll assess your space, lighting, and lifestyle, and suggest the best plants for you.
Can you work with my existing planters or furniture?
Yes! We’re happy to work around your current setup and blend new greenery into your existing decor.
Do I need to prepare anything before the installation?
Just clear the area where you'd like plants placed - we’ll handle everything from there, including layout, delivery, and cleanup.
How often do plants need care?
That depends on the plants you choose, but most of our selections are low-maintenance. We also give you easy care tips - or you can opt into our maintenance services.
What happens if a plant dies?
It can happen - and we understand how disappointing that can be. While we install plants chosen specifically for your space, they are living beings and can sometimes struggle due to transplant shock, hidden pests, or changes in care routine. If a plant doesn’t make it, we’ll help figure out what went wrong and suggest a solution - whether it’s a replacement, care tweaks, or an alternate plant.
Do you offer regular plant maintenance?
Yes! We offer monthly or seasonal maintenance packages depending on your needs - especially helpful if you're busy or new to plant care.
Is there a minimum budget required?
No fixed minimum. After understanding your goals, we’ll suggest a plan that works for your space and your budget.
Are consultations free?
Yes - our initial discovery consultation is completely free (virtual or in-person, based on location).
Do you charge separately for plants and design?
We share a transparent breakdown. In some cases, design and plant costs are combined; in others, especially for custom projects, they’re itemized separately.
What if I have pets or kids?
We select pet-safe and child-friendly plants where needed—just let us know during the consultation and we’ll keep that in mind.
Can you make my space look like your gallery images?
Absolutely! Every space is unique, but we’ll recreate the look and feel in a way that works beautifully for your layout and light conditions.
Do you do vertical gardens or plant walls?
